10th Grade Critical Thinking
For my 10th grade critical thinking DRSL I used the rocket lab report that I did in Honors Physics. In my opinion, reports are the hardest paper to write since you are to only write in the third person and use on;y formal language. So no: we, I, us, etc. Also it tied in a lot of the things we learned throughout the year in the class like kinematics and aerodynamics.
11th Grade Critical Thinking
For my 11th grade DRSL I used my Pledge of Allegiance paper that I wrote in Oberg's English 11 class. Unlike most papers where you pick a side and then find evidence to support your claims, you had to write about and support the opposing side to your beliefs. This paper was incredibly challenging since you had to take the side of a bias you didn't necessarily like and make an argument about it.
12th Grade
For my 12th grade year I used a paper that I wrote from Ms. Freestone's English 12 class. It is a paper about a play that pokes fun at the flaws in the current justice system, specifically when it comes to how juries decide on a case. This can be used for critical thinking because I took the things I observed in the play that would change a jury's decision to another, like racial discrimination and hast decision making, and then I had to apply that to things I see in today's justice system. So I had to think critically about where I have had seen some of the things found in the play and relate to today's world
